I did 60 minutes on my eliptical glider which is about 7 miles on the road. I had 12 inches of snow and no way to run this mourning, hopefully the roads will be somewhat plowed tomorrow so I can go out,  but who knows. I also did 30 minutes of upper body weight training and some core training with that, my calf actually feels pretty good today so we will see what tomorrow brings and go from there.

Winter is back folks, so enjoy.

Recovery run today; my right calf was feeling so good today until I had 1/2 mile left and then I felt it starting to nott up on me again, not as bad as last week which is a good sign. I will evaluate during the day today and see how it recovers. My splits went as follows; 8:13, 8:23, 8:35, 8:25, 8:29, 8:21, 8:14, for a total time of 58:46 and an average pace of  8:23/mi, which is about a minute of my marathon goal pace. The roads where pretty icy so I had to take it easy in some spots which was okay where it was a recovery run.

I also strength trained on my lower body and did some core training, for about 30 minutes and some extra stretching on my calfs. It was good to be out on the road again, I hope it continues to warm up and run into to spring this next month.

I am still nursing my right calf so I took it kind of easy again today. I tried not to push it and I just tried to keep an even pace, my splits went as follows; 8:27, 8:23, 8:21, 8:07 this mile was a tempo run, and then 8:24, 8:38, 8:38, total time was 59:06 with an average pace of 8:26. My legs felt a little sluggish the last 2 miles and I just couldn't keep them going, I am trying to stay patient. I hope tomorrow I will have my legs back some what, but we will see what tomorrow beings and go from there.

I also did 30 minutes of upper body weight training, no core training today, I am taking a day off from that, but I will resume tomorrow.

I had something really wierd happen today. I started out not feeling very good leg wise this mourning and as I got to my turn-a-round to head home my legs gave out on me. I ran/walked the rest of the way home, mostly walked. Has anyone ever had this happen to them before? If anyone reads this let me know. I feel fine other than I am a little tired today . I am not going to list my splits, because its pretty much meaningless. I've never had this happen to me before, really wired.

I will see how tomorrow goes.

On the advice of Sasha I did 5 miles at an easy pace 2 warm up and then 3 as a cool down, and then 2 miles at marathon goal pace. I felt really good today, I felt like I could do 3 miles at the faster pace but decided not to push it. I had a hard time holding back on the slower miles, Sasha wanted me to do a 9:00 pace on those miles but I could not go that slow, I was able to do it on one of the miles but the rest where around 8:45. My splits went as follows; 8:45, 9:04, 7:28, 7:24, 8:45, 8:47, 8:44 total time was 59:00 with an average pace of 8:26. I am still figthing a calf strain and my right butt mustle feels like it has a nott in it like my calf so that hasn't been real fun. I also finished up with 45 minutes of upper and lower body weight training and core training.

I felt good today,  thursday was really bad,  but today It was a good day. I pray for more of these in the future, see ya on Monday.
