Rest today... I decoded to give my foot a rest today, and then head out again tomorrow morning. I have a dilemma, Saturday I am leaving on a cruise with my wife for 7 days so I don't know if I should run for those 7 days or not. My foot could use the rest but on the other end I don't want to be fat and lazy when I return home! I've heard that on these cruises that all you do is eat and the food is incredible, they have a top notch workout center with treadmills and all kinds of fun stuff so I don't know what to do...

See ya tomorrow.

Cruises are the best! I'd say cross train, and be active but take the opportunity to take a week off of running. That's probably the best long term plan.

Ya know Michelle I've never been on a cruise so I am a little nervious, I like the cross training thing too;-)

1998 I went on the only cruise I have ever been on: the maiden voyage of the Grand Princess into the Caribbean. It was rumored that Alec Baldwin and Kim Bassinger were on board in a mega-suite, though we never saw them (the fact that they were still together showing how long ago this was). At the time, it was the biggest cruise ship and had a little track on one of the decks. I ran a couple of times, slept in til noon a couple of times. Ate every dessert that passed my way, including one night when I tried 5 different desserts. I played paddle tennis quite a bit--it was so fun. Lots of other active stuff, but lots of laying out (turning light pink to bright pink) and reading. I weighed 127 before the cruise and 127 after. I think cruises are such a big deal for those of us without the ability to go often that you just have to ENJOY it. Only do what you want to do. Have a blast!
