No running again today, I just did 30 minutes of upper body weight training. I am still in the boot until Wednesday or Thursday and then I will have a week after that to get it off and then test drive my leg and see where I am at... The soft cast is off and now I am just in an ace bandage, it feels pretty good but if I was to run on it  I don't know how it would feel, I am just hoping and praying for the best. I am giving myself until the 15th of September to decide whether or not I will be running SGM or not, I have to notify the hotel by this date to get my full refund on the rooms, so that is D-Day so to speak. Tomorrow I plan on doing my upper core training, I know this sounds boring on the strength training but it is the only thing that is keeping me from going crazy!!

See ya tomorrow...

Clay, thanks for your comments. Lets hope for the best, you will make it to St.George. Hobblecreek is a much better course than in prior years. Come run it next year. It seems that if you do run St. George, it may be best to do no hard workouts or long runs before St. George. Also. do you have an idea what caused the injury so it can be avoided in the future? Based on your Provo time, I would bet you could still break 3:30 without any running before St. George.

Thanks for the kind words, Brent... I might have to come and try that one next year, there was alot of good runners in it this year. As far as what caused the injury I think I increased my milage to fast and to much, back about 4 or 5 weeks ago. Just stupidity on my part, but I have learned my lesson. I should of kept it at 40 miles for acouple of more weeks, but I increased and that was when I started to have the problem and it slowly got worse.

I think if I stay off it like I have, and give it a chance to heal I feel like I can still run SGM, and if I can get back to doing 3 to 6 miles a day I think my fitness will still be there. But we shall see...
