I had to log my son Ethans' First 5K today, since I am out and casted up I wanted to post his race and let him know how proud I am of him... Ethan was in first place in his age most of the way but he had a kid pass him in the last little bit of the race, and ended up taken 2nd place. He looked effortless the whole race and I think he has just touched the surface on his running possibilities, he averaged a 7 minute pace but he wasn't even working hard, at least it looked that way, just nice and smooth. I tried to get him to wear my Garmin but he didn't want to he said he wanted to run by feel, which is really surprising. There were about 500 runners and he took 24th overall and 2nd in his age division and he really enjoyed it to which I was praying for, that he would have a good experience and that he would want to continue to run and race. He told me before the race that he was running for me cause I was out with my injury, he's just a good kid and a good example to me and he makes me want to be a betrter person just being around him.

Congrats Son.
