No running today my shin and leg where hurting so bad I had a hard time walking, I am hoping that if I take some time off it will help it heal but I sure don't want to... I am taking today off and then see how it feels in the morning and then go from there, bummer I was so excited about where my fitness was for SGM, this is a tough deal.

Clay, you may want to consider going to see a doctor about your shin if it hurts so bad that it is hard to walk on. I know that it is hard to not run when you are feeling fit for SGM, but the alternative is a cast and crutches if you end up with a stress fracture. Perhaps consider some cross-training (biking, rollerblading) or underwater running? This would allow you to keep your fitness with little to no impact.

Sorry about your leg. It's a bummer to have an injury. Hang in there and don't stress to much it will get better.

Clay, I agree with James, hit the cross training heavy if it does not bother you leg and shin. Do 2 minutes easy and one minute hard as you can on the exercise bike. This will keep your arobic fitness high during the down time. Good luck.
