I ran 5.12 miles on my own and I ran out to the big blue mailbox but then I extended up the 200 meter hill into Payson and then I turned and headed for home. My legs were pretty dead but then seemed to loosen up after a little bit, IT band was marginal but not to much of a bother and achillies was about the same as it has been, getting better. After the run Ethan was waiting and wanting to go a few miles so we did, he is starting to get faster in his training runs, we ran out to the old barn via canal road and the average pace was 8:28 and a total time of 17:35 with him out front most of the time especially at the end when he was 40 to 50 seconds a ahead of me. I had one 8:00 mile with him so I am counting that as a marathon pace mile;) I finished up with some strength training on my upper body and then some push ups, all in all a good start to the week and to the new month.

See ya tomorrow.

Very nice Clay. You got any races this month?

I'm doing the Salem Days 5K on the 14th but that's it so far for this month...

How about you are you doing any races in the near future?

From Tom on Mon, Aug 02, 2010 at 18:52:11 from 137.65.56.16

Currently the only race I'm signed up for is the Dirty Dash (www.thedirtydash.com) the week before SGM. This will most definitely fall into the "for fun" category, no racing allowed.
