I ran my Mini GU corner route today, kept it nice and easy average pace was 8:54 so just right,  average HR was 139 and total time was 53:34. After returning home my son Ethan wanted to run 2 miles so we headed out towards the Stake center and he wanted to know what the mile race would feel like and I basically told him that the pace would be quicker and I told him that he could not be chicked and if he was chicked I wanted him to put up a good fight and make her work for it! HAHA... So with about a half mile to go I should him the finish line and told him to let it rip and he just took of, I tried to stay with him but I couldn't... My legs were kind of tired but I don't think it would have made a difference if they were fresh, we ran that mile in just under 8:30 but the last half was under 8:00 for sure! After that we talked about race strategy and he was excited about racing in two weeks, its really good to see I think all the running is starting to make him feel good and he is gaining some confidence;-) We took it real slow on the way back but our average for the 2 miles was right at a 9:00 mile, so I'm pretty proud of him.

See ya tomorrow.
