I ran the Freedom Festival 10K this morning and man were there alot of runners!! It is a difficult 10K course, atleast it was for me... The first mile is up hill and I just couldn't get my legs moving, I don't think they have fully recovered from my debacle on scofield last Saturday.. Split went as follows, according to the garmin 305, 8:09(147), 7:01(156) feeling better on that one, 7:04(160) still doing okay. Then, 7:17(162) my legs started to feel sluggish, 7:15(166) working alittle harder, 7:20(169) this was uphill for half of this mile so it was working my heart pretty good. I then followed up with 1:29(177) for the last .20. My foot felt good which makes me believe I am over the PF and my  back was tolerable but it to seems to be on the mend, so I am hoping  for good things with the rest of my training for the SGM.

I ran with my brother Curtis almost PR ,congrats Bro. I also PR'd too. My average pace for the run was 7:20 and my heart rate averaged was 160 My total time according to the garmin was 45:35, but they had my offical time at 45:44. All and all I think if I could have got a better start, there where alot of people so I was bottleneck which made it difficult to get going, I could of shaved another minute or two off the total time,  and who knows if my legs could of been a little fresher I think I could of finished in the top three in my age division, but who knows...

Sounds like you had a very good race. Your race time today seems to indicate your marathon PR should drop by a bunch.
