I ran with my friend Jeff Long this morning, it was a lot of fun. He served in Afghanistan and was blown up by a bomb but recovered and is running a 50 miler but he has so many great stories and I'm just so thankful for his service to protect us we truly are lucky to have such great men and women in the service and protecting us;-) We ran out towards GU corner and down in the river bottoms hit my 5 mile mark and then headed for home, Jeff convinced me to run Harry's Hill and then circle around back to Canal road for a couple of more miles, we pretty much took our time on those last 2 miles but until there we were averaging around an 8:20 mile... Up over Harry's we went real slow like a 10:00 and 11:00 mile and then on the down hill towards home we picked it back up to 8:20 mile. We ended up averaging a 8:54 mile for the whole run but that seems a little off as I think it was more in the 8:40 range, but hey it was a good workout and that is all that matters, my HR average was 138 which is really good. Its off to do some major yard work now, I'm moving some bushes around and getting ready for flowers so it should be a fun day;-) I ran into my brother and he was taking it easy, he is still recovering from a cold, but he was still looking pretty strong so thats good.

See ya Monday
