Because it was my special day I slept in and then after work I headed out for an afternoon run and what a beautiful day it was! I had some time so I ran out to Osborn's or known to me as GU corner, I was taking time to reflect on my life so far and I have had a lot of good experiences for the most part, and also some not so go ones, but I realized I am really blessed. After a few miles I noticed that I was clipping along at a pretty good pace for me so I decided to do a little progression run and here are my splits; mile #1 8:18, #2 8:14, #3 8:09, #4 8:05 up hill, #5 7:37, #6 7:40, #7 8:01, #8 7:38. I noticed on the last mile that if I picked up the pace a little I could beat the 8 minute guy so I went for it and ended up with a average pace of 7:57, total time was 1:04:36. I am very pleased with the run today, I was feeling old but by the end I was feeling pretty good about myself, it made me think of when I was in high school and I couldn't break the 9 minute mile, my how far I have come in a few short years;) After the run I jumped on the elliptical for 10 minutes and then I finished up with some stretching, its been a great day so far!

See ya tomorrow
