I am down in Arizona and the weather is so nice!!! Mid 80's and then cool in Mornings, just amazing. I ran a couple of miles with the gang and then I went out for 4 more miles with Ethan, he was way out front and he really pulled me along. My average pace was 8:29 with a total time of  51:44. We  will be down here until late Wednesday night and then Ethan and I will be flying home that day, he has JV soccer that he has to be back for otherwise we would be staying the whole week.

Easy run with the gang his morning, still taking it easy here in AZ. Average pace was slow and easy at 9:14 with a total time of 32:42. I might run a little more tonight but I will have to see.

Still hanging in AZ but Ethan and I are flying home later tonight along with my brother-in-law Joel, I ran the same loop as yesterday the first round was with Joel and we average about an 9:10 mile then I dropped him off and I went for a second loop and average a 8:15 mile for that. My average pace for the whole run was 8:39 with a total time of 1:01:49, I felt pretty good on the second loop my lungs really like the lower elevation:)

Me and my son Ethan returned home from AZ late last night (1:00am) so I ran after work today, I was able to get out around 5pm and I headed out to Mini GU.  I didn't feel real great, not as good as I felt down in AZ that is, its hard to come back to the higher elevation. My average pace was 8:32 with a total time of 52:01, I hope next week to get back in the habit of morning runs and strength training I have let that go as of late...

Morning run today I just wanted to run a little to keep the legs active. I ran out past the old Barn via canal road, average pace was 8:26 with a total time of 27:49 I seem to be getting my groove back a little and my goal has been to make sure I'm running every day and just enjoy the journey.

The plan today was to drop Ethan off at Soccer practice at 7am and then come home and run, but I came home and laid down for a minute and then the next thing I knew it was 9:00! I hopped out of bed and then headed out the door... I ran out past GU corner and then down into the river bottoms until I hit my 5 mile mark and then I headed back to the house all via canal road. My legs were really feeling it from the get go, I just didn't feel real great. I wanted to finish with my average pace being sub 8:40 and I knew I would be running on tired legs but I told my self I could do it. My average pace on the way out was slow at 8:50 so I knew I had my work cut out for me. On the way back I just tried to work on my form and stay steady, I wanted to really  pick my pace up on the last of each mile and so I did, with the last 2 being 8:00 and 7:57. My legs were tired but I showed myself that I can keep the pace quicker even on tired legs so mission accomplished! My average pace was 8:34 and my total time was 1:26:22, I'm proud of myself  for the way I finished. I could have just taken it easy and said to heck with it and got the miles done and called it a day, but I didn't.

I ran after work today hoping to miss the rain and I found a window at around  5pm, but I did get dumped on the last couple of miles, it wasn't to bad though. I ran the Payson Park loop but I cut out the rollers, my pace was okay with an average of 8:28 with a total time of 52:48 I finished up with some upper body weight training and then some push-ups... A good start to the week, my son Ethan informed me that he will be playing varsity tomorrow for soccer I am really proud of him. He is a great kid and a hard worker and it is starting to pay off.

I ran out to Mini Gu corner this morning via canal road, I was just angry the whole for what happened at the Boston Marathon Yesterday!!! Why don't these cowards come at us one on one instead of the way the always do it, it makes me mad!!! All we can do is pray for the victims and for the people of Boston, it was a sad day for sure! My average pace was 8:20 with a total time of 50:46.

I ran after work today, I headed out around 4:30 and I ran out towards Payson Park it was windy and it seemed no matter which direction I ran the wind was in my face! It was a tough run from the stand point that my legs were dead and then the wind was a pain but I was able to get it done which is a positive. My average pace was slow at 8:46 with a total time of 54:37, I finished up with my upper body weight training and then some push-ups...

An afternoon run today and ran over to Harry's Hill via canal road and then ran up to the mailboxes and then over to Mt. loafer school and then back home on canal road. it was very windy and difficult at times but I'm glad I ran that route today. My average pace was slower than normal on this route at 8:39 with a total time of 1:01:44, I finished up with some lower body weight training and now it's off to some soccer.

Just a real light run today on canal road, just went with it and I felt pretty good I just wanted a few miles to keep my legs active, and I missed running on Monday so I felt like I needed a little today. Average pace was 8:25 with a total time of 27:26... One terrorist down and one more to go! I hate these people that think they can hurt innocent people and then just get a way with it, not in the the good old USA we take care of our own!!! God bless the FBI and all the Authorities that have worked so hard to bring these guy's down!

I waited for the rain to clear a bit and then I headed out to GU, I felt pretty good going out but then on the way back my legs just gave out on me and I was reduced to a slow crawl... I don't know why this happened other than I did walk 18 holes of golf yesterday afternoon so maybe the old legs were just worn out! My average pace was 8:48 with a total time of 1:10:52, like I said a death march!!!

Morning run today out to Payson Park and back and I added in the rollers, I felt really good considering how I felt on Saturday it was night and day!  My average pace was at 8:21 with a total time of 59:57, any time I can do this route under an hour I know I have given a pretty good effort. The pace wasn't hard at all, I just kept it steady as she goes. It has been a good start to the week.

I was able to get out just after 6:30 am, it felt good getting out this morning and getting after it I ran out to Mini GU and then back to the house via canal road. My pace was up beat and I had some miles in the 8:14 to 8:08 towards the end, average pace was 8:20 with a total time of 50:44. It was a good run and I am glad that I was finally able to get out again this week, no strength training this morning.

I decided to start really training again which means getting up at 6am and getting after it so today was the day. When I woke up I felt like I was going to throw-up, but I went ahead and drank some Gatorade and it seemed to settle my stomach some. I headed out the door and I knew right off the bat that I wasn't feeling good, my stomach just was way upset and my legs had nothing in them so I must have a touch of something... I ran the Payson Park loop and the I extended down into the park, my average pace was 8:56 with a total time of 1:04:13, last week I ran this same route and did it under an hour so you can see I was really struggling and not feeling well with the way slow pace. I finished up with some upper body weight training and then some push-ups, I'm glad I stuck with it and got through it because I am not feeling good at all, just real weak.

Up at 6am and then out the door, I ran out to Mini Gu via canal road I felt a little better than yesterday but I still had the unsettled stomach and at times it wasn't fun, It was better than yesterday so that is a plus. My average pace was a little better than yesterday too at 8:30 with a total time of 52:01, after the run I did my lower body weight training; leg presses, squats, calf raises and one legged leg raises. I hope I feel better tomorrow stomach wise, I hate feeling like that in the mornings!
